Disclaimer: This is not a political statement and I don’t care about your political views… If I did I would probably just read them on your Facebook wall anyway…
Next time someone asks you something silly like:
You do CrossFit!? That stuff is crazy, aren’t you afraid of getting hurt?
I would do CrossFit too but it is SOO expensive!
Feel free to direct them to the infographic below.
Bottom-line here is this: You are responsible for your health, fitness, nutrition, and wellbeing. You can seek help, in the form of a gym and trainer, but you can’t delegate the responsibility. Take a look at the infographic below and let me know if you think waiting for the system to get you healthy is a good idea…
Worried about getting hurt? You’re much more likely to end up chronically sick, overweight, and unhappy without a rigorous fitness program and proper nutritional base. Throw in the social aspect and awesome community surrounding most CrossFit Gyms and you have a recipe for prolonged health and wellbeing. Need a study to back this statement up? Do one yourself, here is what I suggest: Spend three days sitting at your local mall observing the people there. Then spend three days at the CrossFit Games observing the people. If it isn’t clear what group of people have figured this stuff out then the problem is with you, not the lack of formal research…
Think CrossFit is just too expensive? What is you deductible these days? How much does a trip to the doctor cost you? How much was the last prescription you had to have filled? Would you rather spend you time and money in a place that will keep you out of the healthcare system or in it?
